Podiatric
Robert Baron, D.P.M. is a graduate of the Dr. William M. Scholl (formerly Illinois) College of Podiatric Medicine, which is now a part of the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science system in North Chicago, Illinois. He began teaching in the radiology department of the college in 1983, and in 1985 he assumed the position of Chairman of that department.
Having retired from teaching in 2010, Dr. Baron is former Chairman and Professor of the Department of Radiology at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He is a current member and past president of both the American College of Podiatric Radiologists and the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine. Dr. Baron also served for many years on the Board of Directors of the American College Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine and has served as Section Chair of the Written Examination Committee for the board and remains an oral examiner.
Dr. Baron has authored or co-authored several book chapters as well as numerous professional articles, and he has served as a U.S. editor for the international journal, “The Foot”. He is also a noted speaker who has made numerous presentations at many professional meetings both locally and nationally over the past 20 years.
Currently Dr. Baron is devoting his time to reading lower extremity MRIs and CT scans and is a consultant to numerous imaging facilities in the Chicago area as well as Indiana and Wisconsin.
